This web site is designed to spread the vicious truth about the Bible. For far too long priests and preachers have completely ignored the vicious criminal acts that the Bible promotes. The so called “God” of the Bible makes Osama Bin Laden look like a Boy Scout. This God, according to the Bible, is directly responsible for many mass-murders, rapes, pillage, plunder, slavery, child abuse and killing, not to mention the killing of unborn children. I have included references to the Biblical passages, so grab your Bible and follow along. OK, we know what you are against. When you have persuaded all the monotheists to drop their nonsense, will we get to find out what you are for?
Well, sure, all these ancient "holy" texts are full of the genocidal and tribal notions of the day in which they were written. Have you ever talked with any of the modern liberal interpreters of the traditions that these works led to?
Many of these moderns explicitly disavow the horrid practices in the text while seeking out and emphasizing the good...and its not all lip service: these liberals stand up to frequent visciously attacks by religious conservatives who are nominally of the same faith. Most of us just ignore the crappy parts in the bible and think the less of the fundamentalists who find, for instance, the scorched earth conquests in the book of Joshua to be useful precedents.
Seriously, If you won't have some dialog with the fairer interpeters of the various monotheisms, you will wind up in the same ring with the fundamentalists: people who don't even want to know what the other side really thinks.
Sadly, you can find nominal christians and muslims who do buy the divisive and the genocidal parts of the bible but really, the world is a lot more complicated than biggots of that ilk can imagine. Take care not to just be another flavor of biggot and you will be joined in your cause rather than reviled.
